Do You Back Up Your Computer?

Our computers contain so much vital information....financial records, pictures, documents needed for school and work. What if you lost all the files on your computer? What would you do? Could you retrieve a recent copy of your files if the hard drive on your computer dies? Believe me --- that is a real possibility. I know because it has happened to me recently. Fortunately, I had copies of my important files. You should be backing up the files on your computer to an external location . That external location could be another computer, a USB thumb drive, or an external hard drive.

we back up daily now...caught two viruses, one was a hijacker in a matter of two months...lost TONS of IMPORTANT stuff...we use a portable hard drive, two actually...in case one stops working. but you have got to do this for your own protection...caught one virus from just clicking the link to a fellow blogger and caught the hijack virus from clicking the link from within dummies.com newsletter to their contest page...so, no matter how innocent a site is, if there is someone out there that wants to mess your life up, it is real easy to do that. If you keep ANYTHING you dont want to lose on your pc...back it up!!
